چکیده

Background. Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) is one of the most frequent causes hip pain and limited mobility in young middle-aged patients. It a result repeated injury structures, that leads to degenerative changes labrum, cartilage subchondral bone provokes progressive development osteoarthritis.
Aim study analyze own experience treating patients with femoroacetabular identify factors affecting its outcomes.
Methods. Retrospective, uncontrolled, single-center clinical included 128 FAI which had 150 surgeries on 149 joints period from 2013 2021. All underwent physical examination X-ray diagnostics, their type was identified. The alpha angle external part femoral head anterior-posterior position modified Dunn 45 position, as well Tonnis angle, lateral central-marginal Ogata modification height articular gap along (LS) medial edges (MS) sclerosed acetabulum were calculated. i-HOT-33 HOS scales used assess preoperative status postoperative results.
Results. average follow-up 3.9 years (SD 1.71; min 1.05 max 8.16). 55 (43.0%) women 73 (57.0%) men 64 (42.7%) 86 (57.3%) respectively. common types FAI, according our data, mixed (53% joints) сam (27.5% joints). Insufficient coverage by (borderline dysplasia) combination deformity observed 18.1%. Pincer-type 1.4% joints. We obtained worst results borderline dysplasia comparison cam- mix-type scales. Patients age, deep damage, irreparable labrum damage decrease determined negative effect treatment scales.
Conclusion. Hip arthroscopy showed good short- midterm outcomes FAI. Pain syndrome often manifested pathology soft tissue structures concomitant insufficient coverage, are important predictors poor results.

Arthroscopic treatment of femoroacetabular impingement.

The etiology of degenerative joint disease of the hip remains unsolved. A precursor for some patients, especially younger ones, may be hip impingement. Repetitive microtrauma at maximal flexion can cause chronic pain from the abutment at the femoral head-neck junction caused by an abnormal offset. Chronic impingement from an aspherical head can lead to degenerative labral tears and acetabular c...

Outcome of arthroscopic treatment for symptomatic femoroacetabular impingement

BACKGROUND Recently, arthroscopic-based treatment for hip-related pain with radiological findings of femoroacetabular impingement and labral lesions has been developed. We aim to present clinical outcome in a single centre patient cohort of patients treated arthroscopically for hip-related pain due to femoroacetabular impingement. METHODS A total of 117 consecutive patients operated in 2009-20...

Femoroacetabular impingement: an arthroscopic solution.

Young adults with hip pain secondary to femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) are rapidly being recognised as an important cohort of orthopaedic patients. Interest in FAI has intensified over the last decade since its recognition as a precursor to arthritis of the hip and the number of publications related to the topic has increased exponentially in the last decade. Although not all patients with ...
